Circles are an essential part of the fabric our church, enabling us to carry out ministry tasks and providing a venue for friendships and new connections.  All members and active participants of the church are assigned to one of our fourteen circles.  Some circles are intergenerational, some are mostly adults; some focus on service projects, while others plan regular social activities.

The circles carry out Sunday morning responsibilities, enjoy social events together, provide friendship and support, and conduct the annual stewardship campaign.  Each circle has leaders for Sunday tasks, stewardship, and sharing/caring.   Our church is growing, and circles play a vital role in building strong connections and in retaining the close-knit community feeling that we value so highly.

The Circles Committee supports the circles and assists with assignment of new members and friends to a circle. This group reports quarterly to the church council.  The committee members are Kyra Kennedy (chair), Gary Dowell, Dorothy Erickson and Connie Wadsworth. The moderator and senior pastor also meet with the committee.

The current circle names are Boldness, Charity, Community, Compassion, Creation, Freedom, Generosity, Gratitude, Integrity, Mercy, Sacred, Virtue, Vision and Welcome.  Every three years, the circles are reorganized and everyone is reassigned.  Our next reorganization will be in 2010.

Each week, one of the circles is responsible for the Sunday morning tasks, and there is a link to a schedule below, as well as descriptions and instructions for each of the tasks.  If you need more information, please contact the church office.
